(This is a copy of my NSW Socialists Candidate statement I gave at the Ordinary member exec elections at the 2025 NSW Socialists founding members conference. I was one of the 12 nominations for the ordinary member elections but only nine NSW Socialists were elected. I also had a multiple number of motions to address the issue of transphobia, aphobia, ableism, bastardization I experience but they were never included in the list of motions for the members to consider.)
I'm Mr Rev Comrade Rowley. I'm an NSW Socialists Party member joined via Victorian Socialists since July 2021 for inclusion of Transgender Asexual Autism survivor socialist voices without discrimination in the struggle towards socialism. I'm a CLACCA ULC ordained liberation theologian Transgender male asexual autism forgotten Australian survivor clergy activist, ULC Seminary student, Charles Sturt University BTH part time student, Creation Choir singer, MEAA member, organiser, writer.
Since 1978 a socialist my whole life campaigning for transgender rights, asexual rights, safe schools, survivor justice, affordable housing, disability rights, education rights, abortion rights, workers' rights, climate justice, anti-war, Latin American solidarity, anti-discrimination, Occupy protests, 2004-2017 13 year Marriage Equality campaign, Adoption equality, civil unions, No to pope May 2008 protests, AIDS care, 2006 Melbourne G20 protests, 2007 stop bush protests, freeing queer refugees, stopping black deaths in custody, Palestine solidarity.
I've organised socialist election campaigns when I was Western Sydney University SRC Queer officer (January 2006-May 2007), was Green Left journalist (January 2006-April 2015) was Resistance Western Sydney Exec member (July 2006-Feb 2008), was Socialist Alliance Western Sydney Exec member (July 2006-February 2008), was Democratic Socialist Perspective Western Sydney Exec member (September 2006-February 2008), CARR Sydney Secretary/Co convenor (July 2006-March 2008).
